“Marvels in Hong Kong: 25 Years and Beyond” Roving Exhibition in Jakarta, Indonesia
The Jakarta ETO co-organised with the Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Development Office of the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau and the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) an exhibition entitled “Marvels in Hong Kong: 25 Years and Beyond” in Jakarta, Indonesia from 9 – 11 September to underscore the achievements of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region over the past 25 years, as well as to highlight Hong Kong’s opportunities under the GBA development and its appeal in such areas as tourism and culture.
The Commissioner for the Development of the GBA, Mr Tommy Yuen, delivered a virtual opening address at the opening ceremony of the exhibition held on 9 September. The Director-General of HKETO Jakarta, Mr Law Kin-wai also delivered an opening remarks at the event. Other dignitaries joining the occasion included the Chairman of the Indonesia Hong Kong Business Association, Mr James Budiono, and the Officer-in-charge of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Ms Rachel Kurniawan.
The three-day exhibition attracted some 3 000 visitors from local Indonesian community.
